Please note that the allowable size of garbage bags cannot exceed 30″ x 33″ with a maximum weight allowance of 30 lbs. Each household is permitted 3 regulation size bags each Saturday for pick-up. Any bags that are placed for garbage pick-up that exceed this regulation weight or size (even if the bag is only 1/2 full), will be subject to a penalty of $3.00 per bag, as assessed by the garbage collector.
Bag sizes and weights are regulated for the following reasons: smaller bags are easier and safer to handle, less likely to be overweight and they pack into the garbage trailer more efficiently.
